EMPTY HEADS are a force to be fucking reckoned with. I've played their first tape so many times that i think the ribbon has finally broke. Listening to a tape in my 30 yr old truck on repeat is one thing. But its seeing them live that kills me. I feel like I'm witnessing something big going down. Like I'm in on the ground floor of the worlds best kept secret. I'm immediately transported to being 15 and seeing Kid Dynamite and 7 Seconds for the first time. Feeling like life is so raw and painful. That the heartbreak is so thrilling and devastating. And I want everyone to be there, to throw their arms around one another and toss those cans into the air and just not fucking care about anything else, because this moment is all that matters. And I want to listen to it in my headphones in my own little bubble. Because I know something everyone else doesn't yet. When you have that band you hold close. Its your secret salvation. It gives you that strength. Basically dudes, they are really good. And you should be in on this too.
